چکیده

We introduce a marker particle method for the computation of 3D solid morphologies evolving by surface diffusion. The method does not use gridding of surfaces or numerical differentiation, and applies to surfaces with finite slopes and overhangs. We demonstrate the method by computing the evolution of perturbed cylindrical wires on a substrate.

اکستروژن سه بعدی به روش میدان خطوط لغزش

Many metal forming problems have been solved using the slip line field method but all of them have either been two-dimensional (plane strain or plain stress) or axisymmetric problems. In this paper a procedure has been proposed by which the slip line field solution to three dimensional problems of metal forming becomes possible. For this purpose the extrusion of shaped sections has been taken a...

Nonlinear inelastic static analysis of plane frames with numerically generated tangent stiffness matrices

For the nonlinear analysis of structures using the well known Newton-Raphson Method, the tangent stiffness matrices of the elements must be constructed in each iteration. Due to the high expense required to find the exact tangent stiffness matrices, researchers have developed novel innovations into the Newton-Raphson method to reduce the cost and time required by the analysis. In this paper, a ...

Pose Estimation of Two-Pose 3D Models Using the Base Tangent Plane and Stability Constraints

A pose estimation technique is presented to determine coarse registration parameters between two 3D models of an object. The models are reconstructed by merging multi-view range images of two different poses of the object, which is arbitrarily placed on a turntable. The result of pose estimation will facilitate registration refinement and integration of two 3D models. Registration refinement of...

Haptic Rendering of Surfaces Defined by Implicit Functions

This paper presents a method for computing the contact forces which must be imposed on a human (via a haptic interface) to evoke the sensation of touching surfaces described by implicit equations of the form S(p) = 0. The algorithm computes in real-time the forces of interaction which would arise from a point interacting with a real surface of the given shape. It models the forces of interactio...
